About Free Digital Tools

A free, in-browser hub of digital tools — built for students, exam aspirants, and anyone who has fought with a government form upload.

Why we built this

Every Indian student preparing for UPSC, SSC, NEET, JEE, or banking exams runs into the same wall: the application portal demands a photo at exactly 200×230 pixels, between 20 and 50 KB, on a white background. The form rejects anything else. Existing online tools either upload your photo to a foreign server, hide the real KB target behind a paywall, or simply don't work.

Free Digital Tools was built to fix that — and we kept going. Now we have over 150 form presets, 12+ image tools, 12+ PDF tools, and 6 everyday calculators. Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Everything is free.

How it works

Modern browsers can do a surprising amount of work locally. We use:

  • Canvas API for image resizing, cropping, compression
  • WebAssembly for HEIC decoding, OCR (Tesseract.js), AI background removal
  • pdf-lib and pdf.js for every PDF operation
  • Next.js + React for the UI, server-rendered for fast first paint
  • Cloudflare Workers for global edge delivery — fast everywhere in India

You can verify any of this in your browser's Network tab. When you compress a photo, no upload request is made. When you generate a QR code, the work happens locally.

Privacy first, by design

We don't collect your files because we never receive them. We don't require accounts. We don't install trackers in our tools. Read the full privacy policy for details.

Pricing

The site is free to use. Government-form resizers provide clean downloads with no watermark, signup, or payment step. We do not run intrusive ads inside the tool flows.
